An informal and diverse coalition of NGO's have issued a letter to the United States Senate strongly opposing the nomination of John Bolton to serve as Ambassador to the United Nations. Nineteen like-minded organizations, including the Open Society Policy Center, have joined the letter. These organizations cite concerns over Bolton's poor performance during this past year and urge Senate leaders to find a better qualified candidate that will begin to repair the U.S.'s credibility and strained relationships.
