The Second Chance Act of 2004 was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives in June 2004. The bill is sponsored by Reps. Portman, Davis, Souder, Jones, Chabot and Cannon.

The Second Chace Act is designed to reauthorize the grant program of the Department of Justice for reentry of offenders into the community, to establish a task force on Federal programs and activities relating to the reentry of offenders into the community, and for other purposes.
